As an alternative, let me tell you what one of my customers told me.

作为替代，让我告诉你我从其中一位顾客听回来的事情吧。

That day, my customer, M, came and wanted to talk to me about his worries.

那天，我的顾客，M，来到我面前，并希望跟我诉说他的烦恼。

Before I started listening to his worries, I placed the sign I was holding in front of my mouth.

在我开始倾听他的烦恼之前，我把手中握着的告示牌放到嘴前。

On that sign, it wrote: "Complete Affirmation Slave Girl: 1000 Rin per 10 minutes"

那告示牌上写着：「全肯定奴隶少女：一次1000铃10分钟」

That's right! I don't listen to people's worries for free. This is called "Equivalent Exchange".

没错！我不会免费听人诉苦的。这叫做「等价交换」。

He handed me a banknote of 1000 Rin and I happily accepted it.

他给了我一张1000铃的钞票，而我高兴地接受了。

 After that, I put down the sign and started listening to him.

之后，我便放下告示牌并开始听他说。

" I had a 'friend' who is not my friend anymore. He is so scary." He said. 

「我有一个不再是朋友的『朋友』。他太可怕了。」他说。

 "Before the last Halloween, we were still friends, but I can't bear with him anymore after what happened on that day." he continued.

「在上一个万岁节前，我们仍然是朋友，但经过那天发生的事之后，我受不了他了。」他继续说。

 "Just to let you know, I have quite a lot of friends." he explained.

「跟你说一下，我有不少朋友的。」他解释道。

"On the other hand, he only has one, and that is me." he said with a sad face.  

「与此同时，他只有一个朋友，而那便是我。」他以哀伤的表情说道。

"This is caused by a series of incidents and it isn't something I would like to talk about." he calmly said. 

「那是基于一系列的事情造成，而我不想提及那些事。」他冷静地说。

"Oh, you are so kind to be his only friend." I said.

「噢！你真善良，愿意作为他唯一的朋友。」我说。

"Yeah, thank you for appreciating. " he shyly said. 

「对，谢谢你这样称赞。」他腼腆地说。

"The only thing you need to know is that he is homosexual, while I am heterosexual." he kept talking.

「你唯一需要知道的是他是同性恋，而我是异性恋。」他继续说。

"As he doesn't have any other friend, he had been relying on me heavily."

「因为他没有其他朋友，所以他一直很依赖我。」

"What I mean is that he has been doing many important things with me, including visiting different places for the first time, attending university graduation ceremony and job interviews."

「我的意思是他跟我做了很多重要的事情，包括去不同地方初次参观、出席大学毕业典礼，以及出席工作面试。」

"You must be very tired. You have done a great job!" I said to him.

「你一定很累吧！你做得很好！」我跟他说。

"Thanks..." he showed a tired face and said. 

「谢了……」他以疲累的脸说道。

"Our relationship wasn't that bad before he came to visit me last February, although I had rejected him a few times when he asked me to be his gay partner."

「虽然我曾经数次拒绝他希望我成为他同性伴侣的请求，我们的关係在他二月来探望我之前没那样差的。」

" During his 7-day trip, he didn't pay a dime for any of his meals despite being rich, and I had to pay for him. What he gave me in return, is a clown-like baby toy doll that I don't like but he likes very much."

「在他七天的行程裏，尽管他很富有，他却从来没有为他的任何一餐付过一分钱，而我则需要替他付清。作为回礼的，是一隻我不喜欢但他却很喜欢、样子像小丑的婴儿玩偶。」

"That's too much! It's so disgusting!" I expressed my anger strongly.

「这太过分了！这太噁心了！」我强烈表达我的怒意。

" You think so too!? That's what I thought! What's more is that, before he left, he told me to treat that doll like him. However, I just gave the doll to my ex-landlord to show our gratitude to him renting his house to us." he said it excitedly.

「你也这样觉得！？我也是这样想的。更离谱的是，在他离开之前，他叫我把那隻玩偶當成是他那样看待。可是，我把那玩偶送了给我的前房东，以向他表达愿意租他的屋子给我们的谢意。」他兴奋地说。

"Anyway, I started a cold war with him after this." he then said.

「总之，我之后跟他冷战了。」他接着说。

" I neither chatted with him, nor read his messages for 8 months, until the Halloween day."

「我足足八个月既没有跟他聊天，也没有看他的讯息，直至万圣节那天。」

"That day, he suddenly sent me a message via WhatsApp, instead of Telegram he usually uses."

「那天，他突然用WhatsApp给我发讯息，而不是他常用的Telegram。」

" I didn't open my WhatsApp, but I read his message in notification."

「我没有打开WhatsApp，但我在通知裏读到他的讯息。」

" In his message, it said 'I need to talk with you."

「在他的讯息裏，写着：『我需要跟你聊聊。』」

" I didn't pay attention to his message, and just kept chatting with my friends via Discord."

「我不以为意，并继续跟朋友用Discord聊天。」

"That day evening, while I was having dinner with my family, we heard a doorbell."

「那天黄昏，当我和我的家人正在享用晚餐时，我们听到门铃响了。」

" Since I was the closest to the door, I left my seat to answer the door."

「由于我距离大门最近，所以我便离席去应门。」

" When I opened the door, guess who, it's that motherfucker!" 

「当我打开门，你猜我看到谁？是那个狗娘养的！」

" That fucking asshole just fucking came to my home without any goddamn notice!"

「那他妈的混球他妈的在没有任何该死的通知的情况下，他妈的跑来我家了！」

" How dare him!!! It's so rude and disrespectful for him to do so. You must be very scared." I said to him.

「他真太胆！！！他这样做很失礼且不尊重人欸。你肯定很害怕了吧。」我跟他说。

"It scared the shit out of me!!!" He shouted.

「我被吓屎了！！！」他大喊道。

" As my parents didn't want to disturb our neighbours, we reluctantly invited that bastard into our house and let him wait at the entranceway." 

「因为我父母不想打扰到邻居，所以我们不情不愿地让那个杂种进屋，并让他在玄关等待。」

" At first, he even  tried to get into our dining room, but my mom didn't let him leave the entranceway."

「起初，他还想跑进我们的饭厅，但我妈把他挡在玄关了。」

" I finished my dinner really quick after that, and I told him I ended my friendship with him, without any hesitation."

「之后我很快吃完晚饭，并毫不犹豫地对他说我决定跟他绝交。」

" He doesn't deserve to be your friend. You have done an excellent job!" I said to him.

「他不值得有你当朋友。你做得好极了！」我跟他说。

"Yeah, thanks..." he said.

「是呢，谢了……」他说。

And at this moment, 10 minutes has passed after he paid me 1000 Rin, so my service stopped here. 

然后在这刻，距离他给我1000铃的时候已经過了10分钟了，所以我停下了我的服务。

He didn't pay for another 10 minutes. Instead, he bowed to me and left happily. 

他没有多续10分钟。取而代之，他向我鞠躬并快乐地离开了。

And that's the story one of my customers told me.

而这便是我从其中一位顾客听来的故事了。
